i have an odd fascination with heidi and spencer (who doesn’t?) that mostly consists of mocking them mercilessly. spencer’s twitter is especially entertaining, including the gem i re-tweeted yesterday:
which got a response!
WHAT?! bahahaha!
also, his twitter background is this picture:
bodyguards and crystals.

i am dying over sugarboo designs today on hautelook. totally NOT normally my style, but i want both of these things SO bad…
this, because i love elephants: elephant love you slatted frame, $219.99 (formerly $550).
and this, because i love e.e. cummings: i carry your heart small frame, $64.99 (formerly $140).
still way overpriced, but use my link and check out the rest!

just bought a bathing suit…always a tough thing to shop for. while i was really in love with this, my wallet afforded this:
victoria’s secret retro stripe bandeau top and low rise bottom, $24 and $15.
i know they’re VS and they have the angels and everything…but i really wish they at least modeled these suits on women with torsos of normal length. i feel like their...

i ripped through the girl who kicked the hornet’s nest in less than three days. it was excellent. i was doing little triumphant fist pumps near the ending and found myself re-reading passages (not the norm for me).
highly recc the trio…and am pumped for the upcoming movies.

so i went to the strasburg debut last night. a little background:
i live and die with the atlanta braves.
b feels the same way about the pittsburgh pirates (yeah, i know).
we both live in DC.
i went to the nats stadium debut a few years ago, and honestly never thought i’d see another sellout.
after first pitch, i realized how little i cared about the game. strasburg was impressive, of...

as seen in previous post, we recently got the restoration hardware catalog. usually their stuff is completely not my style, but they amped it up this time around, and it’s made b and i want to do a complete apartment redecorate. a centerpiece is this giant antique map:
vintage paris map, $1795.
that price is of course, ridiculous, and i thought for sure we could achieve the same look...

tonks is a hand holder. she insists on placing her paw on our hands all the time. b sent me this yesterday and said she kept it up for a really long time. it was like they were king and queen sitting on the couch throne.

we stayed at the royal park hotel in london, and it was really nice.
the best part was breakfast - brought to your door with a guardian every morning. high recommend.

passion pit killed it last night. they only played slightly over an hour (with a 10pm set time…which i do not like on a ‘school night’…#lame i know), but high energy the entire time.
i’ve been to sold out shows at 9:30 club before, but this was easily the most packed i’ve ever seen it.

among the obscene amount of guinness-related gifts i purchased (those vintage ads are so appealing), i got this shirt:

one of my favorite things i bought in london was this magnet, from the globe store:
“exit, pursued by a bear” is one of the most famous stage directions of all time. lots of debate over whether it was a real bear, a costumed actor, or had an entirely different meaning. i thought it was pretty funny. when i got home i got out my giant norton to see what notes i had taken on that...
